Hi my name is Stephen Quinlan. I’m a truck driver from Bungaree in Country Australia. I take pride in my home and love a DIY project. I’m always looking for ways to help the environment. Last year I decided to put solar panels on my house to reduce my electricity bill and help the environment.
I got a few quotes to have them professionally installed and was astonished at the price. One guy wanted $28,000. needless to say after doing the math it just didn’t seem worth it. That is when I started looking into how hard it would be to do it myself.
I got my son to help me with a bit of research on the internet. We found about 5 different products that all claimed to show us how to build our own solar panels for a fraction of the price of commercial products. We didn’t know which one to go for.
My son can make websites and came up with the idea of reviewing each of the products we found and making a site about it. So in the end we decided to buy a copy of each solar energy DIY guide and try them all out. We hope you enjoy our findings and hope it helps you make an informed purchase.
There are a few products out there that show you how to build your own solar or wind powered system at home.
At globeathon.com we have reviewed a selection of the best on the market, so you can make an easy decision about your purchase.
We have taken it upon ourselves to purchase all of these products and interdependently reviewed them for your convenience.
We use an easy to read review template and a 5 star rating system for you easily compare and choose the product that is right for you.
So in no particular order here are our thoughts:
