Making your own solar and wind power for less than $200

By using this kind of energy source, you will not pollute the atmosphere and the energy will be free!

History

For a long time, solar panels have been used in countryside areas that are not serviced by the utility grid. But today, when energy prices are rising and alarming reports about climate changes, they are starting to get really popular just about everywhere.

How does it work?

Solar panels are made of photovoltaic cells or modules that will convert sunlight into electricity. The cells are made of material called semi conductors that will absorb energy from the sun and then knock electrons loose, so that they can flow freely.

Build my own energy source, how hard is it?

It’s not so difficult to build your own panels. Sure, it will take some time and money but you don’t need to be a professional to make them.
There are a lot of guides online, that you can follow to build your own equipment. Just do a search on “diy solar panels” and you will probably find many guides telling you how to do it.

Buy Now Or Wait?

This question is actually quite difficult to answer. It all depend if you have the interest and money to do it. The technology will of course become better and the price will probably be lower in the future. But, who knows?
If you compare buying this kind of technology with computers, then you will realize that it has a lot in common. The improvement will be made in the future, no matter if its computers or solar panels.

Summary

By switching to solar power technology, you will stop polluting the world. The panels are made up by photovoltaic cells or modules and electricity is produced by semiconductors that are part of the cells.
You can build this kind of equipment quite easily by yourself and if you are concerned about the climate effect, has the money to invest, I think that you should invest in this kind of alternative energy sources.

Go Green!

Solar power is the energy of the future. Learn how to get the cheapest solar power panels for the home. A few of the several advantages of solar energy are first and foremost its free, easy to harness and is capable to provide more energy than what is needed by most homes.

You may be aware that a commercially sold solar panel has its worth in thousands of dollars. But, did you know you can go solar for a fraction of that cost. To be specific, you can go solar for as little as $200!

Why Go Solar?

Solar panels are made up of small PV cells, also known as photovoltaic cells. The PV cells capture sun light and store it in a battery. The energy stored in the battery is then transformed into usable electricity using an inverter. Solar power is a renewable resource of energy and free to harness once you have installed solar panels.

Installing ready made solar panels can be pretty expensive and can cost you anywhere from $10,000 – $18,000 to solar power you entire home. You can solar power your whole house for a fraction of this amount if you learn how to build solar power panels for the home. Building these systems from scratch is cheap and easy; all the required raw materials can be easily bought from the local electrical or hardware store. This also cuts down on any further impact on the environment as the solar panels do not go through any manufacturing processes.

Going Solar Is Easy!

Various kits are available to download from different vendors that will teach you to build solar power panels for the home. The downloaded kits include steps for calculating the actual electricity that you need from solar panels based upon your electricity bills. Once you have that information you can start building your own solar panels, typically you can easily build a 100 watt solar panel in a day very easily.

Now, that’s not something very substantial, but when you can easily redo the whole process over and over again, you can completely go off-grid with a few days of work and perhaps sell back the extra power back to the utility company. Now, how is that for a change? You’ll get a check from the utility provider!

Save Heaps!

Once you install solar power panels for the home, they will pay for themselves many times over the course of their life. Generally, solar panels have an average lifetime for 25-30 years requiring no to little maintenance. So, you do the math here and calculate how much you are set to save!

The greatest thing about solar power is that it has a limitless potential. Contrary to the popular belief learning how to make solar power isn’t technical, the truth is, you can solar power your home pretty easily for a very small investment. You just need to know how to make your own renewable energy source and today I am going to tell you exactly how to go about making solar power.

If you want to learn how to make solar power, you’ll first need to know some basics on how exactly does a solar panel works. This way, the whole process will be pretty easy to handle.

Solar modules are the main components exposed directly to sunlight. Their main function is to change the sun’s energy into electrical energy that can be utilized by electrical equipments. To have them properly installed, solar modules are to be placed on a steel frame and placed on the roof top.

Power generated by the solar modules is converted from Direct Current (DC) to Alternating Current (AC) through an inverter. Usually, Alternating Current (AC) is the utilizable electrical power that we need to power the home appliances.

Next, the electrical power transfers from the inverter to the electrical service panel. The electrical service panel is used for transmitting the electrical power to different parts of your house or office for use.

The unused electrical power produced by the solar panels will then be brought into the grid via the utility electric meter. Thus, the meter will be made to spin backwards and this establishes a credit with the utility company in offsetting any future usage. This process is known as Net Metering and is approved by the State Level Electricity Policy.

Learning how to make solar power isn’t really difficult. You don’t need many skills beyond being able to handle wiring & basic tools with care and safety measures.

The materials needed for making solar panels include:-

1.    Solar Cells
2.    Clear PVC Sheeting
3.    Sheet Plywood
4.    Copper Wire
5.    General Tools (Drills, screwdrivers, woodwork glue etc)

All these raw materials can be bought pretty cheaply by you from the local hardware store. Photovoltaic cell is the only component that you might have to search online and it can be found easily on eBay.

Quality directions that are easy to follow are very important to find when trying to learn how to make solar panel. This will make the building process less stressful and make you happier that you made the choice to do it yourself. Online is just one of the places you are able to find some of these manuals. We have reviewed the best guides available to help you to learn to build your own solar panel. If you’re looking for a way to drastically lower your monthly expenses, learning how to build your own solar panels will save you big in the long run.

Of course, I wouldn’t have known that from asking around. I was quoted well over $10,000 for a commercial installation.

I just couldn’t afford it, even though I was being told I could save up to 70% on my energy bills.

After a little searching on the internet, I came across more than a few sites that were trying to sell me diy solar panels and wind turbines. I’ve read the reviews and I’ve tried the offers.

www.earth4energy.com was the only one I’ve really stuck with. Their solar energy kit allows you to put the whole thing together for under $200, everything included.

Michael Harvey has has helped many people save on their power bills and the testimonials speak for themselves.

Learning how to build home made solar panels and a wind generator system is easier than it’s ever been, especially if you have a step-by-step guide to show you how to get started.

It only took me a day or two to find and assemble all the parts that I needed to build my own homemade solar power system from scratch.

So, why bother with household solar energy kits?

Well, the first payout is that it’s easy to do and the return on investment can be huge. Some home-owners have completely done away with their electricity bills, providing enough power for their entire home using this same system!

My logic is, why pay someone an outrageous amount to do it for me.. when I can I do the whole thing on my own for a fraction of the cost?

The government is giving out tax credits and rebates, encouraging people to do seek alternatives to fossil fuels, usually paying for a good portion of the item’s cost.

There’s no reason for you to keep paying ridiculous rates on your utility bills; there just isn’t. The alternatives are readily available and considerably cheaper.

www.earth4energy.com will have you up and running in days and when you start seeing how much you’ve saved on heating and electricity, you’ll be happy you invested into your own household solar energy kit – I know I am.

If you have the income to spare this is an ideal way to get into utililizing solar power in your home.

Making your own solar and wind power for less than $200

In the current economy most families do not have that amount of money to spare so a viable alternative is to build your own solar panels. This may not seem possible to most people but it’s pretty easy if you find a good guide that shows you step by step how to make and install your own panels for less than $200 a piece. This can also be a easy way to “test” the waters of using solar power to reduce your power bills in your home.

A new trend is moving through the world, and that trend is powering your home with solar power. This technology has been around for a long time, but until recently it was too expensive for home use. Now, with modern technological advances, the average home owner is able to collect solar power for use in his own home.

Making your own solar and wind power for less than $200

This ability allows people to free themselves from the public power grid and begin providing their own energy. Not only does this allow people to become more independent, but it also saves money every month because the electric bill should be far lower, if you even have one at all.

Solar power systems require very little maintenance once they are initially set up, and there is virtually no cost to running them on an ongoing basis. This means that every month you will be saving money by providing your own power instead of paying the electric company for it.

Making your own solar and wind power for less than $200

Not only is solar power cheaper, but it is also better for the environment. There is no pollution to the atmosphere like there is with coal power plants, and there is no toxic nuclear waste like there is with nuclear power plants. Solar power is a sustainable and abundant resource that everyone should be taking full advantage of.

If the cost of a solar power system is still to high for you to afford, then you should know that it is actually possible to build your own solar power equipment from scratch if you know how. The Benefits of Solar Power For Us All

September 10, 2010 by

The sun produces massive amounts of heat that are transmitted down to the earth’s surface. When the sun’s rays reach the earth’s surface the intensity of the heat directly from the sun is not as hot because some of the heat is rerouted before it reaches the earth’s atmosphere. When the sun is hot and it is summer time we think that it couldn’t get much hotter as the mid day sun makes your run for shade, but it can get hotter if it wasn’t rerouted.

Solar power can be hot enough to power machinery and that is exactly what was discovered over one hundred years ago when a man working on machinery wondered if steam from the heat of the day could be used to power machinery. He was right and thus began a new form of production, heat and electricity. Today solar power is being used all around the world. The solar power is being concentrated into a solar source where the heat is used in a variety of ways. We still rely on our way of heating and powering our homes but in the future it may all be powered by the sun. It is cost effective to use solar power as the only expense you have is in your solar source.

In order to use solar power you will need to have something that can attract the sun and allow the heat to be concentrated where it can stay warm for a long period of time. This is fairly easy when you consider all the knowledge and resources that we already have access to. When you use solar power for heating and power electricity you cannot go wrong.

Solar power is entrusted in space shuttles as they know that this will help produce the most efficient energy with the least amount of complications. The solar panels are faced toward the sun at all times in order to be able to power the shuttle efficiently. There are fewer problems from solar power than with other methods. Even though there are days that there are clouds in the sky and rain, snow or other weather, it is still possible to produce enough heat in your solar source to create enough energy to last until the sun can come back down. Solar power is in our future we need to be ready for it. Right now solar power is only being used by those who are more aware and worried about our earth’s atmosphere when it is a concern that we should all be worried about.

We can learn a lot from the past and the way that solar power was used. Every minute of the sunlight was used doing everything that needed done because after the sun went down there was no more light. I don’t think we could do that now. Solar power has so many benefits for us that we don’t realize all of them and how it is more efficient to use the solar power than other ways.
